With advances in wind tunnel methodology, the measurement of wind loads on façades of buildings and structures can be carried out with a
high degree of accuracy at model scale. These results lead to more economical and risk-consistent structural designs than do code calculation methods. Topics related to the prediction of facade design wind pressures are examined in this presentation, including wind tunnel testing and analysis, integration of wind tunnel data with local wind climate, internal pressures, comparisons to code, and novel façade systems.
