Jerry spent more than 45 years as a building engineer working to improve buildings.  He has been a member or Chair of several CSA Standards Committees, has been a court-qualified expert witness, is an ADR Canada-qualified arbitrator and mediator, and an Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts-qualified adjudicator.  He also sits as a member on several other arbitral tribunals.  His involvement with OBEC goes back to its pre-charter days in 1986.  He has twice been OBEC's President, was awarded the Beckie, and been granted the status of Fellow of OBEC.  In 2020, he started Genge Construction Adjudications where he provides arbitration and adjudication related to construction and condominium claims.
