The OBEC Board of Directors has wholeheartedly approved the nomination of a special Beckie Award to Brian Shedden.

Brian was a life-long learner. His contribution to excellence has been made real through his leadership of young consultants and constructors who had the honour of working with him. He understood buildings, building science, building relationships, and building organizations that supported the best design and performance practices. He excelled at the practical application of engineering principles to the real problems of real people. He earned his building science specialist (BSS) designation and was accredited as a construction arbitrator in Alberta. His leadership in construction with J. McBride & Son, engineering and expert forensic engineering at GRG Building Consultants, and building engineering at Entuitive, made each of those companies well equipped to design and construct better performing buildings.

We are honoured to present this award to his family, during Brian’s Celebration of Life. Details of the celebration are below if you wish to attend:
